Free COVID-19 Home Test Kits Distributed to Community Partners, and available at NCPHD

North Central Public Health District has distributed about 1,500 FREE home COVID-19 test kits to a number of entities in Wasco, Sherman, and Gilliam counties to be further distributed to the community. We also have test kits available for the public at our office.

Test kits were distributed to the following locations within Wasco, Sherman, and Gilliam counties:

 

·         Wasco County Library

·         Mid-Columbia Senior Center

·         Oregon Foodbank

·         Haven

·         The Next Door

·         Mid-Columbia Community Action Council (MCCAC)

·         Deschutes Rim Clinic

·         South Wasco County Library

·         Sherman County Medical Clinic

·         Sherman County Senior Services

·         Sherman County Library

·        

South Gilliam Health Center

·         Arlington Health Center

·         Gilliam County Library

·         Arlington Public Library

·         Gilliam County Emergency Services

·         Gilliam County Senior Services

·         Gilliam County Youth and Family Services

 

People eligible for at-home test kits are those who are:

·         experiencing COVID-19 symptoms

·         exposed to a positive COVID-19 case. (If you have no symptoms, ideally wait until five days after the exposure day, which is counted as day zero. The test can also be used as soon as three days after the exposure day.)

Each test kit contains two tests. We ask that people only take enough kits to have one test per person. They are not intended for screening purposes such as travel or event attendance.

NCPHD offers drive-up testing and distribution of at-home tests for the public. Please call 541-506-2600 and select the testing option to request a home test kit. We have certain times each day, listed below, when kits are distributed but please call ahead.  Test pick-up times are:

 

  • Monday: 1-3 p.m.

  • Tuesday: 10-12 p.m.

  • Wednesday: 1-3 p.m.

  • Thursday: 10-12 p.m.

  • Friday: 1-3 p.m.
