This Friday, Feb. 28, is the last day of the Wasco County Medical Reserve Corps’ (MRC) annual blanket and coat drive at North Central Public Health District (NCPHD). MRC volunteers will be in the NCPHD parking lot, located at 419 E. 7th St, The Dalles, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. collecting the last donations of the season.

Thank you to those who have already donated! This is the last opportunity to contribute warm blankets, adult-sized coats, socks, boots, sleeping bags, and tarps to benefit St. Vincent de Paul and other local agencies. All items must be new, or gently used, washed and in good condition.

Wasco Co. MRC, a volunteer program of NCPHD, has held an annual blanket drive for over ten years. This year, community support has been strong; many items have been donated since the event’s kickoff in November 2024. The ongoing community generosity is appreciated!

If you have any questions or are interested in becoming an MRC volunteer, please reach out to Gloria Alvarez at gloriaa@ncphd.org or at (541) 506-2699.
