Sadly, we are reporting a 3rd Sherman County resident has died of COVID-19. The person tested positive on 8- 26-21 and died on 9-10-21. We extend our deepest sympathies to their family and all who have lost loved ones to this pandemic.

The surge in cases with the Delta variant of COVID-19 has caused a record number of ambulance calls for known or suspected COVID cases in August for Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue. There were 21 calls for service, compared to the previous high of 17 in January, and the low of just two in July.
